Seahawks RB Jadarian Price Placed on IR Due to Chest Injury

The Seattle Seahawks have officially placed their starting running back Jadarian Price on injured reserve due to a chest injury. As a result, Price will be absent from the lineup for at least the next four games, starting with Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Price, a rookie first-round draft pick, reaggravated his chest injury during practice on Wednesday, which has sidelined him for the upcoming matchups. Head coach Mike Macdonald expressed his regrets about the situation, emphasizing that this was an unavoidable aspect of football. “It’s just unfortunate,” he stated.

With Price out, the Seahawks look to Emanuel Wilson and George Holani to pick up the slack in the backfield. Zach Charbonnet is also nearing a return, adding further potential reinforcement at running back after recovering from a knee surgery. “I’m excited to see these guys play,” commented Macdonald, highlighting the readiness of the other team members stepping in.

Coach Macdonald showed optimism for Price’s recovery and future contribution to the team, noting, “He’s going to play great football for us when he comes back, whenever that is… It’s just unfortunate.” Meanwhile, Seattle has adjusted its roster, signing Velus Jones Jr. from their practice squad to bolster their running back options.
